The external USB sound card Xonar U7 MK2 has been revised by Asus, especially with regard to the Windows 10 compatibility. It provides connectivity for 5.1 and 7.1 surround systems and can handle audio signals up to 192 kHz / 24 bit.
An integrated headphone amplifier allows the operation of hi-fi headphones, while the signal-to-noise ratio of 114 dB ensures crystal clear sound without noise. The device is thus suitable for gamers, as well as for music enthusiasts and home cinema fans who want to adequately upgrade their PC or laptop.
With the high-quality DACs from Cirrus Logic, audio signals can be output and recorded in convincing quality. The analog connection repertoire includes mini-jack inputs and outputs as well as stereo RCA connections. With coaxial S / PDIF digital output, the sound card can also be connected to the AV receiver of an existing surround system.
The external sound card does not need an independent power supply and can therefore be conveniently used as a mobile sound card. The intuitively operated volume control via control wheel completes the equipment of the ASUS Xonar U7 MK2 pleasantly.
